The basics

Is Kreel an attribution tool?

No. Kreel isn’t an attribution tool. It uses what each platform reports, next to what your store recorded, and keeps them separate. Most teams run the business on those numbers anyway. Kreel is built for the work that comes after.

Who is Kreel for?

Anyone growing an ecommerce brand on Shopify: a founder, an ecommerce or growth manager, an in-house marketer, or the freelancer running it. If you check Shopify, Meta, Google, TikTok and Klaviyo in separate tabs, plus a separate tool for your ads’ creative, Kreel puts all of it in one place. Agencies use the same product for every client brand, with Portfolio and client reports on top.

Which platforms does Kreel connect to?

Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Klaviyo (email and SMS) and Google Analytics 4. A brand can have several stores and several ad or email accounts.

Do I need to connect every platform?

No. One source is enough to start, and each page says which source it needs. Anything that isn’t connected says “not connected” instead of showing a zero.

Is there an AI chat inside Kreel?

No. The dashboard is where your team reviews the numbers, and the analyst is your own Claude or ChatGPT, connected to Kreel. Kreel runs no model of its own to answer your questions.

Which parts need Claude or ChatGPT?

Asking questions in your own words, the ready-made prompts, AI-written reports, the test ledger and setting things up from a chat. The dashboards, Creative Intelligence (its AI tags are made by Kreel, not by your AI), the weekly and daily briefs, publishing a brief as a report, digests, alerts, scheduled reports and approvals all work without one.

We already use our ad platforms' own dashboards. What's different?

Kreel puts every platform in one place next to the store’s own numbers, so yesterday takes one page instead of five tabs. It adds what the platforms don’t show you on their own: creative analysis across your Meta and TikTok ads, margin after ads, cohorts and email depth, with your own AI reading all of it alongside your targets. Each platform’s numbers stay as that platform reports them.

Data and accuracy

What happens if the AI gets a number wrong?

Every answer from Kreel’s tools comes with the dates it covers, the comparison it used and how fresh each source is, and the dashboard shows the same numbers, so you can check any figure. The model can still misread them. That’s why you can turn on approval, so nothing your AI publishes goes out until an owner or admin has read it.

Why doesn't Kreel's revenue match Shopify's Total sales report?

They count different things. Kreel shows the current value of orders placed in the period, with refunds counted in the period they happen, under the revenue rules you choose (with or without tax, shipping or POS sales). Shopify’s Total sales report adds up sales and returns as events on the day they happen. Both are right for what they measure, and Kreel’s definitions are published in the docs.

Why are platform numbers shown side by side instead of added up?

Each platform reports conversions under its own attribution, and several can claim the same order. Kreel labels each platform’s figure as that platform’s and shows it next to what the store recorded, and the Paid ads table only totals what does add up, such as spend and clicks. MER (store revenue over total ad spend) is the whole-business ratio.

Is the data real-time?

No. Shopify syncs every six hours, Google Ads hourly, and Meta, TikTok, Klaviyo and GA4 daily. Rolling windows such as “last 7 days” are whole days ending yesterday in the brand’s time zone, and alerts go out once a day.

How far back does the history go?

Your full Shopify order history, up to two years for Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and GA4, and up to 365 days for Klaviyo. Google search-term and keyword detail covers the last 30 days, email deliverability the last 56 days, and Klaviyo list sizes start the day Kreel first records them, because Klaviyo doesn’t keep list history. The most recent 30 days arrive first and older history fills in behind them.

How does Kreel handle several stores or currencies?

A brand can combine several Shopify stores and ad accounts, converted into one currency at each day’s exchange rate, or you can look at one store or a saved group such as “EU”. Portfolio shows each brand in its own currency.

Can I export the data?

Kreel has no warehouse sync, and the dashboard’s tables and charts can’t be exported. Owners and admins can export a customer segment as a CSV, after confirming a lawful basis to use it. Your AI and a read-only API can query everything else.

Performance & margin

What does MER mean in Kreel?

Store revenue divided by total ad spend across Meta, Google and TikTok. It’s a store number, not a platform’s ROAS. Each platform’s own ROAS is on Paid ads.

Does the margin include shipping costs, payment fees or overheads?

No. The ladder stops at contribution after ads: revenue less product cost, an optional flat fulfilment cost and ad spend, excluding tax and shipping, at today’s unit costs. Payment fees and shipping costs aren’t subtracted, and it isn’t a full P&L.

Does pace allow for seasonality?

No. Pace is a straight line from the first of the month to yesterday. For uneven months, put the month’s numbers in a budget plan.

Can I use it with Shopify only?

Yes. The store tiles, products, margin (CM1) and cohorts work with Shopify alone; ad tiles show “not connected” until you add a platform.

Products & inventory

Does Kreel pause the ads when stock runs low?

No. Kreel never writes to Meta or Shopify. It shows the spend going to the product and flags it; you or your media buyer decide.

Why doesn't the Products total match the Performance headline?

Product revenue is merchandise only and leaves out shipping, which can’t be split across products. The Performance headline follows the revenue rules you set for the brand.

Does the linked ad spend cover Google and TikTok?

No. Linked ad spend covers Meta only, and it relies on the creative tagger linking each ad to a product, so the page says how many at-risk products have a link.

We sell the same products in two stores. Do they count twice?

No. Listings that share a SKU merge into one product across the brand’s stores, and you can merge, split or exclude listings by hand.

Customers & retention

Is the acquisition channel an attribution model?

No. It’s Shopify’s own summary of each customer’s first visit, stored with the order. Kreel adds no pixel and no model, and orders synced before Kreel captured the field read “not captured”.

Can I send a segment to Klaviyo or Meta?

Not from Kreel. Owners and admins can export a segment as a CSV and upload it themselves.

How often do segments update?

RFM scores and overdue flags are recalculated once a week, on Sundays. Saved segments record their size once a week.

Creative Intelligence

Which ads does Creative Intelligence cover?

Meta and TikTok, one platform at a time, because the two attribute differently. Google Ads has no creative view. Ads whose video or image the platform doesn’t expose (some TikTok Spark Ads, live and catalog formats) still show their numbers and stage, with a placeholder instead of the media and no tags.

Is creative revenue checked against Shopify orders?

No. Creative revenue and ROAS are what Meta or TikTok report for each ad. Kreel doesn’t join ads to individual orders, so creative results are compared within a platform, not against the store.

Can I compare Meta and TikTok creative side by side?

Not in one table. The platforms attribute differently, so Kreel shows one platform at a time. Tags work the same way on both, so you can compare which ideas win on each.

Why are hook rate and hold rate missing on TikTok?

TikTok doesn’t report them per ad, so Kreel leaves them out instead of showing zero. The same goes for reach, frequency and link clicks.

Who tags the creative, and where does the media go?

An AI model does. Kreel sends ad creative media (images and video) and the associated ad copy to a third-party AI model provider, on its free tier, to generate the descriptive tags. Under the free-tier terms, the provider may use submitted content to improve its products. The provider is listed with our other sub-processors in the privacy policy.

What if a tag is wrong?

Change it. Tags arrive after each sync and are a starting point, not a verdict. A tag set by hand is marked as yours and the tagger never overwrites it.

Email & SMS

Does Kreel send or change anything in Klaviyo?

No. Kreel only reads from Klaviyo and never writes to it: it doesn’t create, edit, schedule or send anything.

Why is email revenue shown next to store revenue instead of inside it?

Email revenue is what Klaviyo credits to your sends under its own attribution window, and other platforms can credit the same orders. Kreel labels it as Klaviyo’s figure and shows it next to store revenue without adding the two together.

Are open and click rates unique?

Yes: unique opens and unique clicks over delivered emails.

Does the deliverability view cover SMS?

No. Deliverability, audience growth and the digests are email only.

Your AI and your data

What can my AI change?

With read access, nothing. With write access, only things inside Kreel, such as Brand Knowledge, tests, plans, product costs, creative tags, saved segments and reports. You choose on the consent screen, and every call is logged.

Does customer data reach my AI?

No. Your AI gets counts, totals and segment sizes. Customer names, emails, phone numbers and addresses stay in Kreel.

Which ChatGPT plans work?

Kreel is in ChatGPT’s plugin directory. Whether you can install it depends on your ChatGPT plan, your workspace’s settings and your region. In Claude, Kreel connects as a custom connector with one URL and a sign-in, no key.

Is my data used to train AI?

Your ad creative can be. Kreel sends ad creative media (images and video) and the associated ad copy to a third-party AI model provider, on its free tier, to generate descriptive tags, and under the free-tier terms the provider may use submitted content to improve its products. Except for that, Kreel doesn’t provide connected-platform data to third parties for training AI models, and it doesn’t train models of its own. What happens to your conversations is governed by your own AI provider’s terms.

Security and control

Does Kreel change anything in my ad accounts or store?

No. Kreel only reads from Shopify, Meta, Google, TikTok, Klaviyo and GA4 and never writes to them. It doesn’t create, edit, pause or send anything there.

Who on my team can see what?

Owners and admins see every brand. Members and viewers see only the brands you give them. Viewers are read-only: an AI connection or API key a viewer creates can only read their brands, and they see customer lists with names and emails hidden.

Are you SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?

No. Kreel isn’t SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified. The security page lists the controls it has: read-only at the source, consent before an AI connects, encrypted credentials, roles and brand-scoped access, an audit log and an agent activity log.

Where is the data hosted?

Kreel is hosted in the EU. Its sub-processors, including the AI model provider that tags ad creative, are listed in the privacy policy.

What happens to our data when we disconnect or leave?

Disconnecting a source deletes its credentials at once and stops syncing; its data is kept for 90 days in case you reconnect, then purged. Deleting a brand purges its data and stored files. Published reports stay until you delete them, and they go dark if your subscription lapses.

Reports and sharing

Can my clients log in?

Yes, as viewers who see only their own brand. Each client login uses a seat. Sharing a report link or sending the weekly digest doesn’t.

Do clients need a login to read reports?

No. A report link and its password are enough, and digest emails go to client contacts who confirm their address. A client who logs in to the dashboard uses a viewer seat.

Is it white-label?

No. Reports carry your logo, name and colours with a small “Powered by Kreel”, on reports.kreel.ai, with no custom domain.

Can I approve reports before a client sees them?

Yes. With approval on (the default on the Agency plan), every report your AI or a scheduled job publishes waits as a draft until an owner or admin approves it.

Can I make a report without an AI?

Yes: the weekly or daily brief, from the Briefs page, in one click. Reports with written commentary or a custom layout come from your AI using the templates.

Can I get a PDF?

Reports made from the report templates print cleanly from the browser to A4 or Letter, so “Save as PDF” in the print dialog works. Other reports print as the browser renders them. There’s no separate PDF button.

Can the founder or the board get the numbers without a login?

Yes. Add them as digest recipients; they confirm their email address and get the weekly digest. A report link with its password works without a login too.

Agencies

Can a freelancer see only two of my brands?

Yes. Give them member or viewer access to just those brands.

Kreel was built inside an agency. Who can see our clients’ data?

In your workspace, you choose who sees what: owners and admins see every brand, members and viewers only the brands you give them. Kreel’s terms commit it to protecting your confidential information and disclosing it only to personnel who need it to provide the service. Under the data processing agreement, Kreel processes personal data only on your documented instructions, and the personnel authorised to process it are bound by confidentiality.

Demo

Can I book a demo first?

Yes. Book 30 minutes with the team that built Kreel.

Is this a sales call?

It’s a product walkthrough with the team that built Kreel. If Kreel isn’t a fit, we’ll say so.

Can I see Kreel on my own data?

Start the free trial and connect your sources; we can go through your workspace with you on a second call.

Do I need to prepare anything for the demo?

No. Knowing which platforms you use helps.

Pricing and trial

How much does it cost?

€99 a month for one brand and two seats, with every source and every feature. Team is €249 for 3 brands and 5 seats, and Agency €499 for 10 brands and 10 seats. Plans differ only in brands, seats and support.

How is Kreel priced?

By brands and seats, never by features or by your store’s revenue. Every plan includes every source and every feature; plans differ in how many brands and seats they include, and in support.

Is Kreel worth it for a single brand?

Kreel is built for one brand first. €99 a month covers one brand and two seats with every feature, including the creative analysis many brands otherwise pay for separately. Agencies use the same product across many brands.

What counts as a brand?

One business you report on. A brand can have several Shopify stores and several ad and email accounts under it.

How do I get started?

Create a Kreel account with email and password, or with Google; no card is needed for that step. Name your brand, connect your sources, and start your trial from there.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, 14 days on any plan. A card is needed to start, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.

Is there a free plan?

No. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

Can I change plans or add seats?

Yes, at any time from Billing in the app. Extra seats are €19 a month on any plan; extra brands are €39 a month on Agency.

Do you have a Scale option?

Yes, for agencies running more than 20 brands or needing custom capacity, onboarding and support. Email sales@kreel.ai or book a demo.

Will reports or AI-assisted workflows be metered?

No. Pricing is by brands and seats, not by reports or routine AI-assisted workflows.

What happens if we stop paying?

The dashboard and your AI stop reading the data, syncing pauses, and hosted reports go dark. Delete a brand in Kreel and it disappears at once, then its data is purged; to have your whole account deleted, email privacy@kreel.ai.

When Kreel isn’t the right tool

  • You need multi-touch attribution, media mix modelling or incrementality testing. Kreel doesn’t model them.
  • You need profit below contribution after ads, or finance-grade accounting. Kreel’s margin stops at contribution after ads.
  • Most of your sales come from Amazon, marketplaces or retail. Kreel reads Shopify, not marketplaces.
  • You want an AI that changes campaigns, budgets, flows or the store for you. Kreel reads those platforms and never writes to them.
  • You need SAML single sign-on, a security certification, or a custom SLA.
  • You need fully white-labelled reports on your own domain. Kreel reports carry your logo, name and colours with a small “Powered by Kreel”, on reports.kreel.ai, with no custom domain.
  • You need Kreel to send or schedule email. It reads Klaviyo; it doesn’t send from it.
  • You need a warehouse sync or exports of the dashboard’s tables and charts. Kreel has neither; your AI and a read-only API can query the data, and owners and admins can export a customer segment as a CSV.
